Job Description: Senior Officer - Alumni and Career Services Department American University of Ras Al Khaimah Job Purpose&Responsibilities The Senior Officer for the Alumni and Career Services Department facilitates internship opportunities, guiding students and alumni towards valuable experiential learning. The SOACS establishes connections between students, alumni, and prospective employers, fostering career advancement. Through personalized counseling and innovative programs, the SOACS enhances career readiness and skill development. Ultimately, the SOACS cultivates a dynamic community primed for success across diverse professional landscapes. The SOACS also engages alumni, leveraging their expertise and networks to enrich opportunities and mentorship for current students. Minimum Qualification and Education Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Mass Communication, Education, Liberal Arts, or a related degree. Required Knowledge and Skills Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to analyze and revise operating practices to improve efficiency. Record of accomplishment of fostering collaboration and lasting partnerships. Superior organization skills and ability to complete projects in a timely manner. Knowledge of international higher education systems, preferred American model. Effectively using interpersonal and communication skills, including tact and diplomacy, and working with individuals from different cultures. Work Experience Minimum 2 years post-bachelor’s degree professional work experience in an organization. Work experience in an organizational setting that is customer-facing. A proven understanding of Higher Education. Demonstrable experience of working with groups of students and alumni and strong interpersonal communication skills. Demonstrable experience of working with employers.
