We are looking for highly motivated and experienced Senior Digital Construction Coordinator to join our team. Purpose of Role: The Senior Digital Construction Coordinator will support the leadership of information management using BIM for the project whilst overseeing stakeholders across the project team to play their part in the information management process to meet requirements and digital deliverables. The remit may cover supporting wider digital construction scope/techniques such as digital scanning, drones, data capture in the field, robotics etc., but the primary focus will remain on information management using BIM. The Senior Digital Construction Coordinator will be a key point of contact for BIM between the project management team and external stakeholders, including but not limited to the client, consultants, sub-contractors, and other project stakeholders. This role reports directly to the Digital Construction Manager or Project Manager/Director, and at a departmental level to the Head of Digital Construction. Key Activities and Tasks: Responsible for understanding and managing Client expectations for BIM scope and deliverables. Responsible for the communication of information requirements both internally and externally. Responsible for ensuring the Client’s exchange information requirements are responded to and delivered against. Responsible for the creation and iterative development of information management resources such as the BIM execution plan, detailed responsibility matrix, (LAP) exchange information requirements and master information delivery plan. Responsible for ensuring the delivery team’s electronic document management system (EDMS) is configured to fulfil the workflow and rules of the common data environment (CDE). Responsible for the setup of BIM workflows for the project from contract-award stage until handover and approval of BIM deliverables. Responsible for 3D spatial coordination in a coordination software/platform and report/assign issues (inc. clashes) to project stakeholders. Responsible for providing leadership, direction and coaching for specific BIM processes, use-cases and associated technologies to various departments on the project. Responsible for estimating the required resources for direct works as well as sub-contract packages required to achieve information deliverables. Responsible for ensuring model and process QA/QC is in place for direct works models and for related sub-contract packages. Responsible for the correct representation of BIM&Digital at project management meetings. Responsible for project level reporting for compliance and progress regarding information management using BIM. Contribute input/support to tendering activities where required. Contribute to the development of processes, procedures, templates supporting the Head of Digital Construction. Skills and Experience Required: Good understanding of the ISO 19650 series, with experience working to the 1192 suite of standards. Detailed understanding of BIM authoring software such as Revit / Tekla / Archicad etc. Experience using BIM coordination software such as Navisworks, Revizto, etc. Experience and understanding of openBIM standards such IFC, COBie, etc. Experience (and/or willingness) to drive automated model checking and data validation via tools such as Solibri. Experience using of cloud-based collaboration platforms to fulfil CDE workflows, such as Aconex, BIM 360, etc. Familiar with standard scheduling software, such as MS Project or Primavera P6. Experience with programming or visual programming languages (Dynamo) preferred. Experience in setting up and reviewing 4D/5D processes and outputs. Experience in data management and reporting tools such as MS Power BI. Qualities: Strong communicator. ‘T shaped’ collaborative approach with good soft skills. Confident, assertive, and resilient.
