Here, what you do matters. Job Overview The Senior Electrical Engineer uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external issues to improve the electrical discipline within McDermott. They will act as a resource for colleagues with less experience and share their conceptual and practical expertise related to the electrical discipline. The Senior Electrical Engineer solves complex problems and uses their discipline-specific knowledge to improve their products or services. The Senior Electrical Engineer impacts a range of customers, operational, project, or service activities with the electrical team and other related teams and ensures that they are working within the appropriate guidelines and policies. Candidate shall have Offshore EPC project experience in O&G projects Power system study, preferably with ADNOC. Also, candidates shall have hands-on experience in performing Electrical power system studies (Load Flow, Short circuit, Motor starting, Arc Flash, Relay coordination, Harmonic analysis) using ETAP and knowledge of Switching transient study using PSCAD is preferred. Responsibilities Perform conceptual, FEED, Studies, and detailed analyses and design as per design basis, project specifications, design codes, and standards Apply knowledge and skills to a wide range of standard and nonstandard situations Prepare clear and accurate detailed design calculations and analyses including design reports and procedures Manage own time to meet agreed deadlines and budgets, and develop plans for short-term work activities in own area Reports to: Project: Lead Engineer Functional: Supervising Engineer or Engineering Manager Liaise with: All Engineering disciplines, Fabrication Group, Safety Dept, Document Control, Procurement Group, Subcontractors and Vendors, and Customers Supervises: Electrical Engineers Qualifications Essential Qualifications and Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or another technical degree Prefer PE certificate of registration Accredited engineering degree may be required by specific regions 8-15 years of experience of detailed electrical engineering experience Strong working knowledge of many design techniques, and analysis methods, and detailed knowledge of the content and application of standards, codes, and guidelines, including NEC, NFPA, IEEE, and ANSI, and the latest scientific and engineering methods Technical knowledge of the detailed design engineering process Project coordination and execution skills Intermediate experience with Smart Plant Electrical (SPEL), ETAP, and MS Office Suite including Excel and Word #J-18808-Ljbffr
