Job Function The role will also be responsible for contributing to the Communications portfolio strategy for in the SSA Region that aligns and supports the SSA business strategy. Key Performance Areas: Contribute to the communications strategy and framework for the SSA region, in alignment with the Group communication strategy and SSA business strategy, that positively contributes to the achievement of organisational objectives. Formulate and ensure the implementation of detailed communications plans, accounting for all media types and key stakeholder including employees, media, customers, governments, communities, leadership, influencers etc. Collaborate with government relations teams to develop and implement communication strategies that support advocacy efforts, enhance stakeholder engagement, and foster positive relationships with government entities. In collaboration with Sustainability teams, develop and implement communication strategies that promote and highlight the organization's sustainability initiatives, ensuring alignment with global, regional and sub-regional sustainability goals and enhancing stakeholder awareness and engagement. Provide comprehensive communication support to functional and sub-regional corporate offices, ensuring consistent messaging, facilitating effective internal communication, and aligning with corporate objectives and strategies. Draft, prepare and distribute all strategic communications and support and drive periodic information dissemination (that could pertain to a variety of business initiatives) to ensure employees and other key stakeholders are informed and are up to date. Support marketing plans and activities (incl. brand development, digital marketing, advertising, sponsorships, content development, PR, marketing tools, standards, and templates) Contribute to the development of standards and templates and drive group-wide implementation to drive standardisation Keep updated with trends and best practices pertaining to the Communications function and the impact on the business, and apply as required Proactively collaborate with other Departments to resolve issues pertaining to internal and operational stakeholder relations in Communications Qualifications Required: Bachelor’s degree / Honours degree / master’s degree in commerce / marketing / communications / public Relations / Strategy / Business Science, or equivalent qualification.
