Above all, we believe that collaboration is the best way forward.Primary ResponsibilitiesIn the role ofEnvironmental Engineer, we'll count on you to:Environmental Compliance: Ensure that all projects comply with NCEC standards and regulations. Provide guidance and support to ensure environmental compliance throughout the project lifecycle.Project Management: Lead and manage complex environmental engineering projects from conception to completion. Coordinate with various stakeholders to ensure project milestones are met.Environmental Impact Assessments: Conduct detailed environmental impact assessments and audits. Prepare and review environmental reports and documentation.Sustainability Initiatives: Develop and implement sustainability initiatives to minimize the environmental impact of company operations.Technical Support: Provide technical expertise and support to internal teams and clients. Address environmental issues and provide solutions to mitigate risks.Training and Development: Mentor and train junior engineers and staff on environmental engineering practices and standards.Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with government agencies, regulatory bodies, and community groups to ensure alignment with environmental policies and standards.Research and Development: Stay updated with the latest advancements in environmental engineering. Implement innovative solutions to enhance environmental performance.Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.Minimum 15 years of experience in environmental engineering, with a significant portion of that time spent in roles requiring adherence to NCEC standards.In-depth knowledge of NCEC standards and regulations. Proven experience in conducting environmental impact assessments and audits.Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to lead and mentor a team.Proficiency in environmental engineering software and tools.Language: Proficiency in Arabic and English, both written and spoken.A master’s degree or higher is preferred.Certifications: Relevant professional certifications in environmental engineering or related fields.#LI-MW4Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or closely related Engineering fieldA minimum of 10 years of experience in remedial investigation, design and implementation of remedial actions, as well as some project management experienceProfessional Engineer (PE) licenseExperience with Microsoft Office applications (including Access, Excel, Word)Excellent communication skills are essentialExperience with soil and groundwater remedial technologies is preferredAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a mustWhat We BelieveHDR is our company.
