The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the installation and maintenance of equipment in our petrochemical polymer plant. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a strong background in polymer plant equipment engineering to make a significant impact in a dynamic industry.Responsibilities:- Implementing equipment modifications and improvements to enhance plant efficiency and productivity.- Conducting regular inspections and maintenance of polymer plant equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve equipment-related issues in a timely manner.- Developing and implementing preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and reduce operational costs.- Providing technical expertise and support for equipment procurement, installation, and commissioning projects.- Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards for polymer plant equipment.- Training and mentoring junior engineering staff to enhance their technical skills and knowledge of polymer plant equipment.Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering- At least15 years of engineering experience in asset reliability and maintenance- Recognized technical/engineering expert on design, maintenance and operation of rotating equipment specific to polymer and petrochemical plants as demonstrated by significant accomplishments and contributions acquired over a period of 15 or more years.- Experience related to Design/Engineering or of Service/Technical support group with a major pump OEM is preferred.- Possesses a thorough knowledge of general principles and theories related to engineering and contributes significantly to the solution of a variety of unique and complex engineering problems.- Experience of people management and ability to use influence to achieve results.- Flexible and able to re-prioritize tasks based on changing business needs.- Desire and ability to self-teach new software programs or system.- Excellent communication skills both interpersonal skills and presentation skills to all levels including executive management.- Above average proficiency in English language (written and spoken).- Proficient in MS Office applications (with advanced knowledge of MS Excel).- Experience within the Gulf States would be advantageous.
